Eupen & Malmedy Pages

At the beginning of World War I, most of the inhabitants of the Eupen and Malmedy districts considered themselves German and fought for the German Empire during the war. In 1920, the Treaty of Versailles awarded all the communities of Eupen, Malmedy and Sankt Vith, on a provisional basis to Belgium.

These new pages show some stamps and letters from that period.


No início da Primeira Guerra Mundial, a maioria dos habitantes dos distritos de Eupen e Malmedy consideravam-se Alemães e lutaram pelo Império Alemão durante a guerra. Em 1920, o Tratado de Versalhes concedeu provisoriamente todas as comunidades de Eupen, Malmedy e Sankt Vith, à Bélgica.

German East Africa under Occupation Stamps





During World War One, 1916 to 1922, German East Africa was occupied by Allied Forces. British Forces occupied the Tanganyika territory and Belgian Forces occupied the Ruanda-Urundi, the north-western part of German East Africa.



Durante a Primeira Guerra Mundial, entre 1916 e 1922, a África Oriental Alemã foi ocupada pelas Forças Aliadas. As Forças Britânicas ocuparam o território do Tanganica enquanto que as Forças Belgas ocuparam o Ruanda-Urundi, situado na parte noroeste da colónia alemã.
